Voyage Petite, Beeac
23 November 2014
Beeac is in the Western District, an easy 150km drive from Melbourne.
It is a pretty and tidy town with an interesting windmill display, but you might be wondering why we should drive there for Sunday lunch.
Well, the publican, Ean McDowell, serves a very good lunch for a very fair price. He also owns a lolly-icecream shop a few doors away.
And around the corner he has an enormous barn filled with interesting cars, including a Ferrari, a Formula Junior racing cars, a Riley, several Fiats and an ASA, which is a beautiful coupe by PininFarina that is to all intents and purposes a scaled-down Ferrari.
We will gather at the servo on the Geelong Ring Road and then take the Hamilton Highway and turn south to Beeac, arriving about noon.
Worm-drive cars are preferred for this run but all Peugeots are welcome.
